With a new four-year plan now funded and three new staff in post, BMC President Scott Titt invited those attending the annual general meeting to consider what the long-term future might hold – and what members want from the organisation. Rab Carrington left his post as President of the BMC on Saturday 28 April after a successful three-year term, praising the huge volunteer effort that goes into the organisation and the constant vigilance required to maintain access to our crags and hills. Members of the BMC elected Scott Titt as its new president along with two new Vice-Presidents, Kate Phillips and Mike Watson. Read more »

As an experiment UK Climbing and outdoor cameraman Alastair Lee have produced a 4-5 minute film about the BMC's work over 2007. It didn't threaten the Queen's Xmas Day broadcast ratings, but it does give a great snapshot of what the BMC's all about these days. Read more »
